Independent locally-owned retail businesses are a fundamental part of a sustainable marketplace for goods.  Our Lancaster County and York County local retailers are vital to this community. They support all of us by employing residents, shopping for their supplies locally, paying town and state taxes, and contributing to community charitable organizations.

What You Can Do

For every $100 you spend at a locally owned business, more than $60 stays in your community. Choose to shop at locally owned retailers whenever possible.  Also, look for the window decals highlighting SSBN’s Think Local First Campaign, which recognizes these businesses and encourages local residents to vote with their dollars by supporting local retailers.
