Lancaster and York Counties and surrounding areas are known as having some of the finest farmland, farmers, and farm products anywhere in the world.  SSBN supports the Lancaster Buy Fresh/Buy Local organization.  This group recognizes and promotes the healthy connections we all enjoy by buying and eating local produce, meats, dairy and other farm and food products crafted right here in the lower Susquehanna River valley.

What You Can Do:

Choose to purchase your food at superb local resources, such as Central Market and Eastern Market in Lancaster, as well as these fine area markets.  If you are shopping at a supermarket, look for locally grown produce and products, as many chain markets now realize this is a selling point to aware consumers.
